I have a Tikka T3 in .223 as well. And it will definitely get out there. It taint the the best round for the job, but it will do it. ;)

I chode the 6.5CM due to its flat shooting and low BC. It taint no .300 Win mag but the ammo is easier to find than the Grundle and it will for sure get out to distances most don't have access to! ;)

A feller could probably load 3 Grundel cases to capacity with what a single .300 Win Mag takes, as a starting load!
A .300 will definitely reach well over 2 grand, while the little Grundy will be stretched to its limits at half that!
Figure a .300 will toss a 130 gr Pill at a lazy pace of 3200+ FPS! Smokin hot, it could hit 3500 if all the stars aligned and you held your tongue at just the right angle! :D

I know, Right:eek:
Actually, Americans are so worked up over absolute velocity that actual Ballistic superiority of the 6.5 doesn't even matter, so the 6.5 sits mostly unused! And the argument of metrics doesn't work ether, how do you "splain the 7 mm chamberings?:p

You mean like the .280 Remington, .284 Winchester?
