I decided to get off of the 123 gr SST's since they just were not cooperating and jumped on the 100 gr TTSX that I will use for hunting. "Oh what a relief it is".

Left target below was the first ladder I did in .5 increments and things were following the SST path until that 29.0 group :) , then it fell right back off. On the right target I switched to .3 increments and it went o_Oo_O:s0023:o_Oo_O with the 28.9 being the node. My goal for this load was 2,000 FPS at 100 yards for expansion purposes, and on paper this will give that out to 250 yards. Next time out I will shoot a couple of 10 rnd groups, zero the scope and call it a day.

This now has me thinking about getting off the 123 gr SST for the range and switching to some 100 gr number. Maybe the Nosler Custom Comp since it shoots so well in my 6.8 SPC.

Nice! What rifle are you using?

Try the 99gr Hammer Hunters. I get around 2900fps+ from my 20" Howa Mini with them and seem to shoot more consistent than the TTSX.

I think they have an 82gr as well now, which would be interesting to try.

How about Hornady 95g V-Max? I just ran across a couple boxes that I had forgotten about. Thinking about giving these a try.

I've had some decent groups with the 123g SST's out of an 18" match, but wasn't super impressed. Maybe going lighter and faster is the way....
