My buddy picked up a .375 Win rifle a while back, not really aware of the ammo/reloading situation. I have some Alliant 2400 and 738 Winchester that I've barely touched. And my Lyman manual lists those as being used. So I was thinking I'd gift him one or the other and help him reload. Which one would be the better general purpose powder -748 was only listed for 220gr bullets whereas 2400 was listed for the heavier ones ~255 gr.
Or are either more versatile than the manual suggests? I find Lyman somewhat wimpy, at least when it comes to handgun loads. Which is most of what I do.
