yes I have shot at the rifle and pistol ranges. I am not a member. I am thinking about doing some load testing first
Sunday in December coming to the match. 600 yd prone

I've made load developments with Sierra 69g HPEBT and RMR 69g HPBT with 23g of H322. They are quite accurate in my 20" 1/7 twist BA barreled upper after tuning in the OAL to 2.250".
I only use CFE 223 for plinking ammo in a 16" barrel 1/8 twist, 25g is golden.

Even with 69 grain bullets?

I have found
TAC
Varget
IMR8208XBR
all to work well with the .223 heavies.

My Savage bolt actions shoot lights out with the 77gr pills and a 1:9 twist.

Lots of good results with Varget ( of course )

My Savage bolt with 26" 1:9 does best with 75gr Hornady 2279 using 24.7gr N140. Velocity is 2915 fps. Base to ogive 1.850". Vihtavuori has considerable load data covering multiple bullets and powders. N140 is best suited for 69gr and heavier.

Went to the range settled on Tac. Loaded 10 at 24.3 gr and 10 at 24.6 at 2.25, 69 gr rmr bullets CCI small rifle. Not happy with the results, no better then 55 gr fmj with H335. BCM 16" rifle. Going to load some at 2.26 and see. Had some 55gr smk with H335 that shot much better. No pressure signs at all. Maybe my rifle doesn't like heavier bullets.

H335 is classic for .223/5.56 as well as .308 and even 7.62X54R.
Highly recommended: Modern Reloading Second Edition, by Richard Lee. Has virtually every load provided by powder and bullet makers. Something like 38,000 loads total. Powders and bullet weights I've never encountered. $25 more or less, and a great reference.

I use Varget for 68, 69 and 80 grain bullets. For the 52, 53 and 55 grainers I use W748 or H335. I've used IMR 4198 in the past for the 52, 53 and 55's, but it doesn't meter well.
