.22 WMR barrel length performance??

I have a lill Savage 93SS Bull barrel currently at 21" barrel. I'm very satisfied with the accuracy. 100yrds with VMAX 30 & 45grn Critical Defense and surprise to me cheap Federal 40 grn does much better at 200yrs

It's a range toy and kind tinfoil hat survival rifle with fun "gear" in the hollow of the synthetic stock. I'm considering a 16" length for compactness. Also loosing 5" of weight. Ending up with 34" OAL.

Should I expect a devastating dissatisfaction .. in performance??

What's your opinion on 16-18" .22 WMR rifles.
