1911 Price Question

Looking to get my first 1911. It's a series 80 1911 (obviously) commander. It looks to be in pretty good shape. Has a trigger job and different grips. Is $725 too much to pay?

More info needed. Is it a series 80 "style" 1911 or is it a Colt? Blue or Stainless? Do you know how many rounds down the pipe? What shape is the finish in? What kind of sights? I'm assuming it is a .45 ACP, not a 9mm or .38 Super.

A little bit of holster or handling wear is normal on a used pistol unless it has been a safe queen. For a stainless Colt, without seeing it myself, $725 sounds like a decent price.

It looks to be more handling wear, little scratches at the bottom of the front of the gun. Thanks for your input.

I paid $830 for a NEW 70 series 45.[I'd sell it as I haven't shot it}
I paid $1000 for a SS Lwt Commander 38 Super and I'll never sell it.
How old is the gun?
Otherwise the $$$$ for the Colt is worth it.

It's a scratch on the slide/frame from one of the components of the gun. If you're not careful, it's very easy to scratch the slide and/or frame with the slide release lever when you are re-inserting it during reassembly.
