1911 colt failure to feed

I have a remington magazine also. Never had the problem. Root cause is magazine. I thought this was a solid platform. This is not reliable. Stick with colt magazines? At this point Its revolver.

If you no longer want that Colt 1911 I'll give $100 for it.

The jamming has not occurred. The odd ejection for a while now

Try running wet with the factory magazines and report back.

Yes. That happened with the idiot scratch and I got carried away. I have a couple more. That's my first one. I was having fun trying to experiment with metal.

Number one issue IMO is ammo being used. Winchester especially white box is a dirty dirty cheap garbage that should never be for depending your life on. Try getting some better-quality ammo, using the factory mag, plenty of oil and don't limp wrist it and see how it functions.

First off, that's not a Series 70, from the roll mark shown on the slide, it appears made in the 60s on back. Serial number will date it.

Not enough info to diagnose...if ya got a pic of the position of the round when everything stops...that would help.

...and it appears it's been worked over a bit.
