1911 holster issues

Look around for a used Milt Sparks on eBay, Gunbroker, various gun forums, etc. Every once in a while you find a deal (under $100).

For my "fancy" guns where I'm more concerned about the finish I typically buy the Garrett leather-lined kydex holsters. In my opinion it is the best of both worlds. Highly recommended!

I will be buying one for my 1911 as well.
My son uses this one with his 1911 and it is comfortable to wear all day.

I know, I know, it shows the wrong pistol....

Put a rubber pad on the end of the mag and use it as a cane.

I have a few that I've had no issues with and that are made for lefty's. For leather, the DeSantis 1CL is make to be carried cocked and locked with a thumb strap (beware, many 1911 holsters with thumb straps are actually made to carry with the hammer down...so a brick...I found this out the expensive way). I have a custom holster (with a thumb strap) that they had to modify so the safety would not switch off.

I have Vedder both IWB and OWB that have been great (and they are available for LH shooters).
