Have to agree to buy quality magazines. Always the better bet.

But first, learn to, and dismantle this mag to see if the connection (spring-base) is good.
Does it rattle all the time? Loaded and unloaded?
There are only so many parts in an unloaded mag.

After all this, if it does not improve. Toss it out. At least you will have learned how to dismantle one (all are essentially the same).

Many of us have been their. I think it's how they stay in business. 😄

I will second Magpul and Mecgar. I've had several of both that have all worked fine. Not for Sig but CZ, AR15, and Keltec/Glock. Not cheap like promag but I think magazines are like the heart of a firearm.

I've found if you measure and weigh different brands and types of ammo in the same caliber there are slight variations between them. I believe this is why you need quality magazines, if a manufacturer designs a mag around 115gr 9mm Fiocchi FMJ it's not going to run anything else properly. This is just my speculation though.
Ahhh so they should potentially be making each mag in a heavy medium and light version for the bullet gr being used....

Bought a New 17rd P320 mag.

I can load or unload 9 or 10rds with no problem.
If I load the 9th or 10th rd it seems like the bottom bullet starts rattling in the mag and it won't easily accept more bullets.

When I unload the bullets, some are crooked and I have to wiggle some into alignment before I can unload them.

I'm guessing I need a gun toolkit to take the mag apart?

Suggestions on a gun cleaning kit?

Any suggestions?
I have a Sig P320 Xcarry.
Rereading your OP I'm wondering if they accident sent you a restricted state magazine. Can you post pictures?

No.
1- Empty the magazine
2-Turn it upside down & find the small inset button on the base pad
3- Use a pen tip and push it in
4-Keep pressure on the base pad (remember there is a spring under pressure) and slide it off. HOLD THE SPRING DOWN AS YOU DO!
5-Withdraw the spring and follow remember the direction of the follower
6- If there is anything other than the spring or follower inside>>>>you have a 10 round limiter in there

There are lots of videos on it too if you are more of a visual learner. Just search for "P320 magazine disassemble".
