Bought a New 17rd P320 mag.

I can load or unload 9 or 10rds with no problem.
If I load the 9th or 10th rd it seems like the bottom bullet starts rattling in the mag and it won't easily accept more bullets.

When I unload the bullets, some are crooked and I have to wiggle some into alignment before I can unload them.

I'm guessing I need a gun toolkit to take the mag apart?

Suggestions on a gun cleaning kit?

Any suggestions?
I have a Sig P320 Xcarry.

Is it a factory mag? I'd make sure it isn't staked to only accept 10 rounds. The basepad is super easy to remove. Check the follower to make sure it's seated on the spring completely. If something is really wrong and it's a brand new sig mag just call them and they'll likely replace it.

Good How-To video.
I have 17's 21's and even some Springer +10's on OEM 17's (CheckMate, Circle J, MecGar and ACT)
Sometimes these mags will rattle.
I suggest fully loading the mag and running it.

I think the brand is promag
Return it or throw it away.
Seriously.

If you want a bargain mag for P320 then get ACT Mag 3209 17rd
$18 - $24 depending on where you buy.
They sell out very fast, so best to get on the call list.
Greg Cote is as reliable as any of the mag sellers.

These mags have a nicer finish than OEM/MecGar

I have tried troubleshooting a couple of Promag magazines because I'm stubborn. Replaced springs, followers, floorplates, bent things, I feel like I tried everything. Eventually I came to the conclusion that Promag sucks.

ACT Mag 3209
Made in Italy
Some say that it is the best P320 mag
And it's bargain-priced.

For P320 SIG uses 3 manufacturers :
Made in Italy (MecGar)
Made in USA "C in square" rollmark (Checkmate)
Made in USA "J in circle" rollmark (undisclosed US manufacturer)

Best aftermarket - ACT mag 3209
I have examples of all 4 types and they are all reliable.

I've used MecGar for a couple of different firearms (Sig, CZ and probably others) and they seem to be fine quality.

I'm new. I didn't know there were crap mags. But it mags sense sadly.
Many of us have been their. I think it's how they stay in business. 😄

I will second Magpul and Mecgar. I've had several of both that have all worked fine. Not for Sig but CZ, AR15, and Keltec/Glock. Not cheap like promag but I think magazines are like the heart of a firearm.

I've found if you measure and weigh different brands and types of ammo in the same caliber there are slight variations between them. I believe this is why you need quality magazines, if a manufacturer designs a mag around 115gr 9mm Fiocchi FMJ it's not going to run anything else properly. This is just my speculation though.
