The SIG Sauer P227 was a United States designed and produced semi-automatic handgun which was first introduced in 2013 and later discontinued in 2019. The SIG Sauer P227 introduced a double-stack .45 ACP caliber handgun into the SIG Sauer (Exeter, NH) lineup. It was introduced along with the P224.
