handload
Handloading or reloading is the process of making firearm cartridges or shells by manually assembling the individual components (case, primer, propellant, and projectile such as bullet, slug or shot), rather than purchasing mass-assembled, factory-loaded ammunition. The term handloading is the more generic term, as it refers to manual assembly of ammunition using components from any source. Reloading refers more specifically to the handloading with re-used cases or shells from previously fired ammunition. The terms are often used interchangeably, as the techniques are largely the same whether using new or recycled components. The differences lie in the preparation of the cases or shells; brand new components are generally ready to load, while previously fired components often need additional procedures such as cleaning, removal of expended primers and possibly reshaping/resizing preparations before ready to load again.

2 questions,
1) Ive read that a handload is specific to the gun it was loaded for.... is it possible to work up a handload thats universal to all rifles? Factory ammo does it so I would think so… which leads me to ….
2) is it possible to work up a handload...
Did you learn how to reload from a relative or friend? A workshop or class? Self-taught? Inquiring minds want to know. (Well, at least one does.)
Thanks. :)
