banner
A banner can be a flag or other piece of cloth bearing a symbol, logo, slogan or other message. A flag whose design is the same as the shield in a coat of arms (but usually in a square or rectangular shape) is called a banner of arms. Also, a bar-shaped piece of non-cloth advertising material sporting a name, slogan, or other marketing message.
Banner-making is an ancient craft. Church banners commonly portray the saint to whom the church is dedicated.
The word derives from Old French baniere (modern French: bannière), from Late Latin bandum, which was borrowed from a Germanic source (compare Gothic: 𐌱𐌰𐌽𐌳𐍅𐌰, romanized: bandwa). Cognates include Italian bandiera, Portuguese bandeira, and Spanish bandera.

Description says it all, the serial number lookup says this gun was built in 1961. It still shoots accurately, I just ran a 9 hole with it at 80 yards and it does fine. Great deer rifle with a timeless style.
Trades/offers considered.
Bushnell Banner 1x4x32 Dusk & Dawn.
Decent scope for the money, I had it on a 30-30 for a while. Some minor scope ring marks but other than that it’s very clean, glass is clear.
This is a scope I took off a rifle about a decade ago and have no use for and figured someone could use it on their kids 22 or something. It’s a 4-12x40mm “wide angle”. The glass is as clear and the reticle is in great shape. Turrets possitively click and move with little effort. Asking $50...

1950s Remington Woodsmaster 740 308 w/Bushnell Banner 3-9x scope. Shoots great. Semi auto. Scope is zeroed. Great hunting rifle. Some damage to the forearm/forend. I don’t feel it with my grip at all and is cosmetic damage only. Can be replaced with new walnut piece for around $150. Open to...

As the title says, this is a 1934-dated Mauser 98 Standard-Modell, in 8mm Mauser, the so-called “Banner Mauser.” These are mechanically identical to a K98k but produced before the K98k was actually adopted. This one has clearly been professionally refinished. The serials do not match. The...
