9mm case
The .380 ACP (9×17mm) (Automatic Colt Pistol) is a rimless, straight-walled pistol cartridge developed by firearms designer John Moses Browning. The cartridge headspaces on the mouth of the case. It was introduced in 1908 by Colt, for use in its new Colt Model 1908 pocket hammerless semi-automatic, and has been a popular self-defense cartridge ever since, seeing wide use in numerous handguns (typically smaller weapons). Other names for .380 ACP include .380 Auto, 9mm Browning, 9mm Corto, 9mm Kurz, 9mm Short, 9×17mm and 9 mm Browning Court (which is the C.I.P. designation). It should not be confused with .38 ACP.
I was going through a batch of 9mm Luger military brass that have been gathered here and there. I was decapping them, getting ready to swage the primer pockets. Had one that just wouldn't cooperate.
I pulled it out to inspect. I supposed a bedan primer had got past the inspection process. .. but...
Selling a case of CCI 9mm 115 gr. FMJ in a loose pack. I shoot subsonic almost exclusively these days, so slowly selling off my old stock of supers.
I can meet the buyer anywhere in the Portland metro area or south Vancouver. $500/1000.
Thanks!
Was washing a bag of nickel 9mm 1x fired cases I bought from Capital Cartridge and came across this odd looking cartridge. Have you seen something like this before? is it safe to reload? Looks like a +P case. The bulge on the primer concerns me...like over pressure from previous. What do you think?
