The .221 Remington Fireball is a centerfire cartridge created by Remington Arms Company in 1963 as a special round for use in their experimental single-shot bolt-action pistol, the XP-100. A shortened version of the .222 Remington, it is popular as a varmint and small predator round while also finding use among target shooters. It has application as both a pistol round and as a rifle round.
Looks to be once fired brass to me. The overall length of the 10 or so pieces I checked was 1.392-1.399", over the standard trim length of 1.390". Being a varmint/precision round I would have trimmed it all if I had reloaded it. The body diameter at the base is uniformly a smidge under 0.376" on...

Re-listing this Remington xp-100. Custom multi colored Left hand stock but the finish isn't great. Original hard case, dies, brass, and 60 live rounds. Was used but not heavily so no condition or functional issues. Stocks are available to make it a "righty" again. Price: 625.00
