Steve is the best. I wish I hadnt spent my money all these years at other FFLs and traveled so far. Steve is only 7 miles away from me. I have spent too much money at other FFLs for transfers over the years and it makes me sick thinking about it. (Steve, this is Jay btw) Steve is very knowledgeable and a very cool guy. I always feel welcomed and comfortable visiting him. He responds to all my texts and is always willing to help. AFS is by far my favorite FFL and ive been to probably over 30 different places within the past 5 years. I highly recommend Steve and his business to everyone. He charges $20 for bgc plus transfers for up to the first 4 guns. Additional guns would be $10 each past 4. So if you order 4 lowers and have them sent to him, you pay $20 total .

Recently used AFS for a transfer. The process was quick and painless. Be aware, your iPhone GPS will send you WAY too far down the road from where he actually is, so do yourself a favor and call him when you get close! :)

I have done transfers there $25 total price and bought at least one gun from Ed. Ed has a gun shop because he likes guns, just like the rest of us.

It is interesting, reviews can be at opposite polarities. One lazy employee or manager can jade a review. Many lazy employees or mangers that don't care, and the reviews are indelible.

I still gave them 3-stars, as they are no worse than Fred Meyer, Bimart, or Cabela's.

Pros

  • + location relative to my home.
Cons
  • - Customer service, selection, price.
When I have to interrupt the gun counter guys to get help, and when I cannot see their ammo selection that is too far out of sight of the customer, when they are so over priced, when they hide the price tags on any gun I'm interested in, or when I try to special order a gun only to get a reply 6-weeks later that they've dropped the ball, then I have zero allegiance to such a place. When I'm in the neighborhood, I still stop in, but seldom find the things I need. I provide my own customer service.

Pros
  • Selection and Customer Service
Cons
  • Crowded, sometimes pricey
It's nice to go into a gun shop that has a collection of historical firearms on display.
If you want a Sig Sauer, I recommend you look at their display of pistols for sale as I have not found a better selection anywhere.
This is the store I bought my first firearm at, and their customer service was great and accommodated my fondling eyes.
They once even accommodated me when I accidentally stumbled in after close, you won't find that other places.
Visit their website and see what they have to offer!

Pros
  • Safe and welcoming, Rentals of popular firearms
Cons
  • Buy their expensive ammo
You know you will always have a safe time shooting at this police training center. Offering classes and a well kept range.
You have to shoot their ammo, which is expensive.
Good selection of modern firearms for rent.

Pros
  • Selection, Customer service, Prices
Cons
  • There are only 3 locations
The guys behind the counter are always helpful and love to engage with the customers. The prices are good and there is a good selection of sporting and CC firearms. Ammo is priced competively and their sales should be watched.
They even stock some highly desirable hard to find items, which is awesome.

Their fishing section is an added bonus.
One stop shopping for all of your fishing, shooting and boating needs!

Pros
  • Great range setup
Cons
  • Staff
Went in with my father had to deal with a bunch of people who didn't know what the hell they were doing. The staff like the think they're bunch of know-it-alls and even when you slap them in the face with a facts they still like to hover. I work in the industry and I have to say range is top-notch but staff and inventory are below par. I'm also an instructor and I will never take my students to this facility due to the constant safety violations by the staff. While I was there I was flagged by a staff member numerous times and I told him to quit flagging me and he developed an attitude. Again I will take my money elsewhere as well as my students and I will make sure that none of them hear a good thing out of me about this facility.

Great facility, friendly people.
2018 their rules changed, have to buy their ammo (unless you're a premium member, not basic) have to buy their targets.
Their cheapest membership is $500 a year plus a $75 Activation fee and you still have to pay $10 when you bring your own ammo.

Always enjoy my trips into Curt's
These guys have helped me with many a build and are always helpful with great options and real-life, experience-based feedback on what works best.
They also have a great selection of tactical rifles and pistols if that's your thing.
I never have come away from Curt's without more knowledge than when I entered.
Great guys, great place!

  • Ads are hit an miss being updated online.
Coastal Roseburg has a new store tripling their floor space and warehouse areas.
The new store has a good sized firearms area that would rival sportmans warehouse warehouse down the road with about as many firearms. What i specifically like the amount of pistols and handguns impressive. I have purchased from them had deliveries that was a tad expensive but over all they are a good store. The old store my business spent allot there they were always focused on serving the local communities.

Pros
  • Prices
Cons
  • Not a huge selection, but they've got all your staples. . .
I'm a big fan of Umpqua Survival off Diamond Lake Blvd. Its great for me cause I drive past it everyday when going to work. I buy alot of guns off GunBroker.com, and I tend to have them transfered to Umpqua Survival because their transfer rate was the cheapest in town that I saw. But after visiting their store I quickly realized even their prices on new firearms was very cheap compared to many places. So I tend to get my used/ antique stuff online, and my new guns from them. Needless to say, I don't feel the need to shop around much since their prices are usually on point, which is nice because some other shops are $$$$ (KC's of Roseburg comes to mind).

They don't have the biggest selection, but they can order anything you want. Might be an issue if your all about instant gratification.
