Coastal Roseburg has a new store tripling their floor space and warehouse areas.
The new store has a good sized firearms area that would rival sportmans warehouse warehouse down the road with about as many firearms. What i specifically like the amount of pistols and handguns impressive. I have purchased from them had deliveries that was a tad expensive but over all they are a good store. The old store my business spent allot there they were always focused on serving the local communities.

Pros
  • Prices
Cons
  • Not a huge selection, but they've got all your staples. . .
I'm a big fan of Umpqua Survival off Diamond Lake Blvd. Its great for me cause I drive past it everyday when going to work. I buy alot of guns off GunBroker.com, and I tend to have them transfered to Umpqua Survival because their transfer rate was the cheapest in town that I saw. But after visiting their store I quickly realized even their prices on new firearms was very cheap compared to many places. So I tend to get my used/ antique stuff online, and my new guns from them. Needless to say, I don't feel the need to shop around much since their prices are usually on point, which is nice because some other shops are $$$$ (KC's of Roseburg comes to mind).

They don't have the biggest selection, but they can order anything you want. Might be an issue if your all about instant gratification.

Great indoor range. Took my mother in march to "try on" a new pistol. The service we received was excellent. Didn't get her name but the younger gal was very helpful. Rentals are $10.00/caliber and you have to use their ammo, which wasn't crazy expensive. Can't remember how much the range fees were but it wasn't bad either, I want to say $20.00 or there abouts. If using your own guns, you can use your own ammo which is nice.
Five stars here.

I have dealt with these guys for about 5 years now, from when they were a home FFL shop to now being a full time business in McMinnville. Great service and if they don't have it they will do their best to get it for you. Prices have always been very good!

I've been going to Old mill for a long time (since the 90's) now. The owner recently passed away, so you don't have to choke on the smell of cigar smoke, when you go in. Sorry Ron, RIP. However the crew there is top notch. Linda, Floyd and a few other employees that I've known for a long time, are great people to talk to. Their prices are high, when compared to the local Bi-Mart. But sometimes you'll find a treasure that you have to take home. I've been known to buy some of Floyd's old books from time to time. I usually go in about every saturday and look through the store. I wouldn't do a private transfer there, as their prices are way too high. But, if I were wanting to get some advice on pre 64 model 70's, I'd go in and hit Floyd (the gunsmith) up. He's a wealth of knowledge when it comes to working on and collecting fine firearms. Go check it out, if you are ever in The Dalles. You might find something you like or can't live without.

Pros
  • Knowledgeable and helpful
Cons
  • 45 min drive each way
I dealt with Troy for a couple of years when his office was in his garage.
Have not had the opportunity to visit his new location but looking forward to doing so.
Troy was very knowledgeable and was very helpful when I was getting into my first ARs.

This company has attorneys that work in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. We had our family NFA Trust drafted by them and have found the service great. They created a customized Trust to fit our situation, answered questions before, during and after the creation, and were generally helpful. The cost of the Trust was more than other options, but it was worth it to us. And having the Trust in place has, generally, made NFA collecting a lot easier.

One of the Best shops in Oregon. I would do much more business if I was closer. They have a onsite gunsmith who is school trained and a certified Cerakote finisher. I highly recommend making the drive out to Mac and visiting Troy, Mike and the crew.

Ticklicker is a good shop with a pretty good selection, fair prices, and great staff! Hard to cram as much stuff In to such a small space, but they do. The few times I have been in, that place is elbo to elbo, so get there early!:)

Pros
  • Ammunition selection
  • Handgun selection
  • Excellent firearm return policy
  • Customer service
  • Fancy armalight rifle parts selection
Cons
  • Payday loans right next door- too easy to blow your paycheck
Idaho Arms and Ammo is a mid-size shop in Meridian, Idaho. Customer service is amazing but my favorite part is the wide selection of quality, proven effective self defense ammunition. Win. Ranger +p? On tap, all day. Underwood extreme git- off -my -lawn? All day, all calibers(in fact I do believe IAA is the only registered Underwood dealer in the treasure valley). Fed. HST LE? Not only in stock but at a great price.

They've also got one of the largest selections of handguns I've ever seen and numerous parts for your next armalight rifle build.

Great people, great selection and fair prices. What's not to love?

The staff is friendly, professional and knowledgeable. There is a somewhat limited selection but it seems to be growing. The ammo prices seem reasonable. They did not have the rifle I wanted but were able to get it in a few days. I have enjoyed doing business with them.

Jon is wonderful to work with. Friendly, knowledgeable and fair on his prices. If you need anything done he can do it. From custom builds, cerakote or laser etching. He has become my go to. He is currently working on a AR-10 build for me. I didn't want to take this project on by my self but didn't want to purchase a complete rifle. Jon is building it cheaper and better than I could have gotten from the store.

The last I was there, they sold used guns, handled transfer services, did gunsmithing, and had ammo. Prices on used guns were quite reasonable and I picked up a revolver. The cost for FFL transfers was, at least at that time, nuts. I never availed myself of their gunsmthing services, though I do recall talking about a project with them.

The best gunsmith in the area and the most honest man you will run into. He has worked on guns for me in all three of his store locations and quality was job one. Hell of a shot too for a half bald guy.:D

This is primarily an automotive parts and tool shop. Though they offer a small number of new long guns and hand guns, some ammunition, and transfer services. I've only bought auto parts and ammo there, but it was not for what it was. My regular FFL was able to beat their price on a new AR, so I didn't buy from them, but they were in the ballpark.
