for no other reason than, it just looks cool?😂 I've wanted one of these Cimarron No. 3 Schofields for so long, it's ridiculous! It would serve no purpose than to make me feel good when handling it! (Que the quotes taken out of context folks) It won't heppen 'cause I can't see spending that kind of coin on something just to fondle and look at.

Shoot it don't just look at it enjoy it

My m1 garand and carbine are both just getting looked at
Yah, those are a little different though. They are classic originals, and the Cimarron is only a copy. I think the price on it is kind of outrageous for a copy, but I've never held one either so, could be a misconception on my part.

he 30 carbine is museum quality...I should just sell it and buy a shooter
That'd be a tough decision for sure! I don't own any firearm I wouldn't shoot so, I couldn't own it without shooting it.

Well, I can't say I disagree with you because I TOO think the Schofields are pretty cool looking and I could certainly see myself owning one for NO other reason BUT whatever the gun I might choose for this reason would have to be in a caliber I already have and load for because along with looking cool it WILL get shot!

However at that price like you it 'won't happen' but I could consider keeping my eyes open for a used one and maybe if I happened to 'stumble' on one and if the price is right I might 'pull the trigger'!

I shoot almost all of my guns.

Not really the inheritance stuff because I have bought newer versions to take to the range.

I bought this on a total whim. It's going to get plenty of range time but I bought it for the cool looks (gawdy?) factor (and price). Got it and changed out the black grips before I even showed my wife.

And who doesn't need another bedside gun ;)

It's the AFO-D - I kinda like the decocker and 1911 type safety in one package.
