A Garand USGI barrel would be in 30/06. Navy issued a few 308 rifles for competition. This is not a collector barrel since they were never issued in 308. It would be for a shooter and CMP rules
does not allow 308 cal in a 'as issued' Cmp Garand matches.
I found 1 for sale on the CMP M1 Garand classifieds listed for 525.00$.
This is the only one I have ever seen for sale.
What do you think it is worth and where have you seen them listed.
If my price is out of line I will change it.
And I think their are collectors that would like a USGI Navy NM 308 barrel .

sarco has barrels for $125 and complete .308 parts kits less receiver with excellent to new stocks for $445 $485 hand select.
i am interested but would have to examine the barrel with TE and muzzle gauges unless you already know the measurments?
am less concerned with TE if ME is < 1.5
What is the barrels drawing/part #SA11010457 or SA1168514. All fthe Navy barels were airguaged but only 10% met NM spec, and those barrel went too the Navy team very few of those barrels slipped out the back door. Does your barrel have any chalk numbers on top of the chamber? is so what are they?
