As always....
When going against employment rules / polices , etc....
Weighing the risk versus the reward is wise.

With that last bit in mind...
NWFA is "Social Media" , so to speak...and once posted on the internet...it is out there for anyone to read , retrieve , and use / spin as they see fit.

My estranged son lost his job over drawing his illegally concealed gun on a guy at work. Guy was sketchy. Thought he was reaching.

Well he was. Reaching for a comb. Dumb sss move.
A LOT of people have lost a job due to stupid with a gun. Most common is the "just have to show it" too others. Another is dropping damn thing on the floor. When things like this happen I can't find it in me to feel bad for them.

I was a boss at a shop for quite a while. One of the guys had a permit and liked to carry OWB with a sweatshirt for cover. However, he really liked walking around the wash up area/break room without the sweatshirt. I had a couple of complaints about it, which weren't valid, but it was obvious his showing off wasn't a popular idea.

You think I wouldn't be prepared for that?
I used to loan tools on the job till over time I lost enough by them not being returned and my fault too for forgetting who I had loaned them to, even with some neighbors, when after a decade I developed a rule to never loan tools. In some cases I even lost tools because I had loaned them before, they felt it was OK so I was taken advantage of by others taking them without permission.
That's my statement: "Sorry I don't loan tools".

Showing off is never a good idea.

This is a prime example of what I mean. He was no doubt wanting people to see the gun. As long as it did not get him fired I guess why not but, again the gun should not be a show and tell item.

Used to drive dump truck. The company had a strict no firearms policy. I knew of at least one Supervisor, One Mechanic, and over the years between 3-5 drivers who carried daily.
