Hmmm, was browsing RRA's web sight when I saw the link. New wood AR Furniture Sets. http://www.rockriverarms.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_id=393 $150 per set... Kind of a cool idea, not sure I would ever get a set though.
Wow, VERY nice. Seems like they would make the AR feel more 'real' and not so 'toy' like. I love wood furniture!
wood furniture has been around for a long time i don't remember who made it first ,but RRA does have some different styles
Wood on an AR might be a little to Retro for me but Ironwood designs should also have some available soon, in addition to AK and FAL wood
I had a wood stock that JP put out back in 2000. It made a real nice target AR. The wood feels warm on your face, when it is cold up at the range. It looked similar to the laminated AR stock you are refering to now. They have been around a while. I guess RRA is resurecting them. Definitely a higher class of AR guy needs one of these sets.
Those look nice, especially the laminated ones, but I think I like the black look better. Does anyone know if the wood weighs more? I certainly wouldn't be interested if that was the case.............
Yeah, you bet. You could also put some rails onto the handguard with some wood screws for an inexpensive quad rail! :bluelaugh:
