This is leaps and bounds faster for like $50 more on the original price. 4 core 8 thread, 4 times the RAM and DDR4 at that along with an NVME drive.

I have 2 towers that won't work. One is Windows 7 Pro XPS i7 32 GB with all of the bells and whistles. The other is a VISTA Dimension 8200. The XPS won't come up on the screen. The cats did a tap dance on the keyboard and it comes up with the Windows logo and says resuming Windows and then the screen goes blank I can't get it to shutdown Windows and reboot. I will try to get to the shutdown/start button blind. The monitor works fine, but cannot see a cursor or anything else.

The Vista has a power problem and won't boot up anymore. I should have fixed it before it went completely bad. I would have to press F! or F2 to get it to boot. It has many programs that I used to use often, including the printer tool box. The printer that came with it is a nice HP 1200x1200 dpi with software to bump it up to 3200x3200 (or somewhere around there). Only works well with the Vista. The Vista also has a one of a kind stereo board that rocks.

My laptop is a Inspiron 17 5000. 17 inch screen, i3, 16 GB with CD/DVD r/w. It is still working even after several gravity problem on the hardwood floor.

I refused to go to Windows 10 or 11 and was pissed when they quit supporting Windows 7.

Here's My used computer story.

I accidentally drowned my laptop, and being close to Tax time I did not want to spend a bunch of money to replace it [until after I knew how much I would be paying out.] So I found a used student model on Ebay.
It came, it worked, I only needed it for generating reports out on a job, so I did not care that if I looked around in the history I could find the last owners old pics. [ she seemed to be a school age girl from the pics].
after Tax time I bought a new laptop and the used one went in a closet.
A year or so later our Granddaughter needed a laptop, and my wife asked if we could give her the old one?

About a week later, The granddaughter called my wife to ask why Grandpas computer had a hidden file with love letters to some guy?
No More used computers for me!

For anyone who buys 2nd hand. For a LONG time now PC's come with a partition that is there just to format the drive. Works like doing a factory reset on your phone. Wipes everything on the drive and puts the OS back to what it was when it left the factory. Do this first thing with any you buy 2nd hand. Different models have a different way to access this but simple search with the model will show you how to do it.
