I'm trying to find the date of manufacture. Help appreciated, Ken
I had a nagging feeling about this when I posted, but was remembering Remington did something like this. I forgot Winchester did...Remove the hand guard and check the date on the flat bottom of the barrel near the receiver.
That should get you close.
