So, im trying to decide between these two rifles. By all accounts, these two guns, both made in Miroku, are of very decent quality. Of course, the Browning is long since discontinued, but can still be found on gunbroker for sub $900. The Winchester can be purchased new for around $1000. Part of me loves the large loop that is available for the Winchester, but the Browning seems to be revered in other forums. Any experience with either? I'm just looking for a fun, no frills lever gun in 44 mag (set on 44 mag) to share ammo with my redhawk.

I haven't shot a new made Winchester 92 ...So I really can't comment on them.
The original ones that I have owned were fine rifles, however.

I vote for the Browning 'cause my friend has one and it is well made , handles nicely and shoots like a house afire!
