Why oh Why the A2 Grip?

BCM mod 3 is my favorite at the moment.
I've been looking at the Magpul K2 plus to replace the MOE on one.

Another simple reason is hand size.

I much prefer the reduced grip angle of the mod 3 and other more recent grips, losing the nub is a bonus.

The A2 grip is just wrong for me, big hands. Always go with the A1. Trained with it many moons ago, and it works. My biggest question with the A2 is, why?

I really like the A2 grip after dremeling off the finger groove. With the grove it's pretty uncomfortable though.

It's rubberized and way more comfortable than any of the other grips I've tried over the years.

Grip fit is a very personal thing, so unless the rifle comes with the one I want I prefer it to be a low cost disposable grip like the A2 so I waste the least amount of money. Same with the butt stock - I have a definite preference and always swap that out as well. Personally I'd rather they charged me a few bux less and send it "nude".
