Always thought I'd grab the Scorpion 3+ if I ever saw it in person. Nearly impulse purchased the Evo S2 when I saw it in a Bi-Mart of all places, but got ahold of myself.
I have the Evo 3 S1 and the 3+. Like the S1 so much better. The 3+ is smaller, but the recoil is way more. The S1 is super accurate too, though the 3+ isn't bad.

No kidding, the recoil is worse on the 3+? I wouldn't have guessed that would be too noticeable. I have flirted with Scorpions for the last 3 or 4 years and when the 3+ came out I kind of figured I'd always regret going with an older one. I've actually shot the EVO S2 before and wasn't particularly blown away but I just can't get over how damn cool I think those guns look so I've always thought about buying one, y'know? Plus I don't own any subs and I figure that's a great one to fill that space either way.

Going to just continue to hem and haw over it LOL

Yeah, I mean being direct blowback, they both have a decent bit of recoil, but the 3+ is a really sharp recoil. Not nearly as enjoyable. I have a number of "pcc/pdw's", including some Sig Copperheads, so a bit spoiled on the soft shooting ones.

You should definitely pick up one, whichever fits for you. I find them all to be super fun. In 10mm, have the Vector, Stribog and the Banshee. LOVE all 3 of those. If I had to pick 1 of 10mm ones, I'd say the Banshee. For 9mm, I'd choose the Sig Copperhead K (4.5" barrel) over any others I have.

.from Henry no less.

Yeah I've been looking at the MPX models for almost as long. Basically I've dragged my feet because I have a Ruger PCC that I've been happy with but I would like a shorter/sub option and I think with M114 looming here in Oregon it might be good to do the "buy once, cry once" option and get the MPX. Problem is they're hard to find these days so that's why the Scorpion is still kind of tempting. Also half the price which helps. Might also sell off the Ruger to help pay for the Sig so who knows what I'm going to do. Not me! LOL

You'll definitely be happy with the MPX line. Gunbroker online usually has some available. Yes, the price is a bit more than others, but to me well worth it. Yes, buy once cry once. Especially with M114/etc.

Hello,
As I have mentioned, I am extremely new to the firearms and always looking for the next toy. The MPX mentioned above I am assuming it is the Sig Sauer MPX. I just bought a couple weeks ago the HK SP5L, and wonderinf if the MPX is any different. If enough difference, is it worth while to add to my collection, or is it two manufacturers with basically the same product.

Thanks for any insight.

Not the same product at all. Mp5 is roller delayed. Sig is gas operated. Completely different operating systems. Sig will give you more gas to the face but really for either one I would use a flow through suppressor if using a suppressor. Both are low recoil compared to direct blowback guns like the evo. Both are well made.

My suggestion is spend your $ on a PTR vent 2 suppressor. $1199 is the price you want not $1399. It will make your mp5 literally as quiet as a 22lr bolt gun shooting subsonics suppressed. Especially with your long barrel it may well be even quieter than a .22 suppressed shooting subs. It's truly a revolutionary change in suppressor technology imo. Never thought I'd see the day where 9mm is as quiet as a suppressed 22lr.

I've not had any of the HKs, but multiple others, including the Sigs. Personally, I see the HK as being a bit outdated. Cool? Yes, worth buying? Yes, but, for me at least, the Sig is on a whole higher level. Again, just my opinions. I see the Sig ad really the top in this particular category. Now if they would just make a 10mm version I'd be happy lol.

OK, thank you for the reply. I will go check out the MPX. I did purchase with the SP5L the B&T SQD-M 9MM silencer and have been happy with it.

Man I cant work for my cat is just crying.... I think I'm gonna call it the day. I'll just take her to Cabela's. Hopefully I wont get impulse along the way...

Yes, I have done in the past what ilikegunspdx mentioned and it works, good advice. But even better, yes my cat made me buy it. HA!

I wish on-line store were limited. I feel bad for places like Cabela's store trying to make an honest living for the locals while while Telly Savalas is continuously ruining the economy and family places of togetherness.

Gun Broker had a Springfield XDM 40, with a 5.25" barrel, and all the normal 'Gear Up' things. I was the high bidder at $305. Of course it was $343 with shipping, and I'll have to pay a $50 transfer fee. So $393 to get in my greasy hands.
