This little Sig P938 found its way home with me today. I am really impressed with how it fits my hand for its size! Will need to pick up another mag for it but, not sure what I'm going to use it for. I have plenty of small 9's yet, this one just begged to be added to the hoard. Night sights on it are very bright!

Do you have one? If so, lets see 'em and share your 938 mini Porsche story.:D

I've had one for many years. I think it's the extreme edition which just means g10 grips. I rounded the bottom corner of the 7 round mag to make it print a bit less.

I did the reduced hammer spring (Galloway precision I think) which lightened up the trigger some. I also installed a trigger shoe which made a world of difference. Mine is the old kind with serrated type trigger that is curved. Like this:

That darn curve makes your finger go left or right too easily. I don't know why all triggers don't have a nice flat surface to pull. For the newer non curved/serrated trigger like you have I don't think a shoe is needed.

Anyway I've been practicing double shots with it so long it feels like it's a part of my arm. Shooting is instinctual and I don't think I even see the sights hardly. Since it's so small practicing a lot of double/triple/whatever shots gives you tons of confidence with the recoil. As opposed to single shot slow fire. I have always been really aggressive when presenting the gun, holding really tight, and multiple shots. That seems to make the best consistency and again it's very instinctual. Like any pistol really but being so small any errors are magnified. The single action trigger is excellent for such a small gun.

I have always carried in an Alabama holster in my front pocket but originally started with very deep carry in a galco iwb holster at 4 o clock position.

I'll hit the range with it here soon when the sun decides to pay us a visit again. 😂 Really not sure what I'm going to do with it but, at a minimum, I have a little steel lock box I can home it next to my bed 'til I figure it out.

Will need to pick up another mag for it
Be sure to buy the "Legion" version of the 7rd magazine, because the basepads on the standard 938 mags break off and though will still work they can over insert damaging the mag release and or slide area.
The Legion mag basepad shape is made to fit the magwell for the Legion version 938 pistol but it will work in the regular 938. The Legion base pad uses two screws to mount to the magazine so its a really solid connection you can slam home in an emergency reload.

I would also pick up at least one 6rd flush fit mag as the 938 also excels as a pocket pistol.

@Koda , greatly appreciate you sharing that bit of information with me. Definitely useful and I will go that route. :s0155:

Nice catch

If your gentle inserting the standard mags its shouldnt be an issue but I was taught to slam the mags home in a class, the little pistol is very worthy of that level of use, the standard basepads are not (take the time to disassemble one and you will see those tiny tabs, they will break eventually).
You might not like the look or feel of the Legion basepad in a non Legion 938 model, its not a match (the Legion 938 comes with a magwell. What I do is use the Legion mag as a spare mag for carry, in that off chance its even needed Im not going to care how it feels but you can definitely slam the Legion mags home. I no longer use the standard mags for reload drills. Mags are crazy expensive for these IMO.

Now for the pistol itself, for its size it holds its own against larger compact guns, it shoots well and is accurate the same. I went head to head against my friends G19 and his advantage in accuracy only started showing up past about 15yds or more, I will still on paper but I called it at 20yds as max (we went out to 30yds I think and I was close but really struggling to hit). The size and weight goes anywhere unnoticed and on really hot summer days with a good pocket holster and the 6rd mag its very concealable though a little heavy in the pocket and an oddly wallet size print. They are not as popular as I think they should be, but one will be hard pressed to find a 9mm pocket gun that shoots this well and weighs the same for carry.

Just found that out! 🤣
its ridiculous how much they are. Im pissed because I bought like 5 standard mags before the finally came out with that legion mag. Two of my standard mags have broken basepads and are basically worthless for carry.

Well believe this before you ran out. There's only 1 color. Don't say I didn't warn you... :s0140:
