I was in A Cut Above and they had a 4" S&W 622 Field model with 3 mags for $500. Looked at it a couple times, decided to get it, asked nicely and walked out the door for $460.00. I haven't found a SN lookup, but I think it's an early model, but I also don't think it's been fired outside the factory! None of the mags (all the 12 round version) have any marks on the followers and it's super clean. Also dry as a bone, so that need to be fixed.
Things I like:
It fits my hand very well, the grip angle brings the sights up were they are supposed to be and the size / weight of the pistol feel corect, not to light, not too heavy and well balanced. The low bore access will be great if/when I pick up a pewpew can for it and mags are reasonably priced. Parts (although possibly not cheap) are available. This one has fixed sights, but if it is a keeper I think I Leupold DeltaPoint Micro might work very nicely on it 🤔
Things I am unsure of:
The mag release is different, time will tell
Things I don't like about it:
Nothing just yet, but again, time will tell :s0114:

I woudl definitely get a .22 suppressor. Worth its cost many times over imo.

Flow22 will create no increased back pressure or reg can will increase back pressure. I've never shot that gun but for all mine it doesn't seem to make a difference if it's flow through or not (other than bolt speed). The number one factor for me for subsonic failures is friction. My buckmark will run 710 fps cci quiet for a mag or two until it gets dirty. But only after BN lube is well worked into the metal. No other gun I have will cycle those. And with regular lube it will not cycle them.

They all cycle cci-quiet semi auto (45 gr 835 FPS) as well as all other subsonic loads except aguila colibre garbage. If you have issues with subs after using good lube I woudl try cci standard velocity (40 gr 1070 fps), am eagle suppressor (45 gr 950/970? FPS), cci clean subsonic, cci supressor (overpriced imo), or Winchester suppressor. All those should cycle due to increased bullet weight and/or power. Norma, eley match, sk whatever, and many others are also in the cci standard velocity power range. I would avoid any Remington at all personally.

I'm more of a From 1 guy, but if that one would work on a 22 Hornet and the Republicans don't totally drop the ball on HPA/SHORT . . . 🤔
Are you sure you know what you are getting into with the recent changes to form 1 suppressors? It's gonna be a long fight as I understand it. And you are going to have to show you have the tools and materials. It's not at all like it used to be. Some might say just send photos of other people's machines. For me the one thing you don't do is lie on that kind of stuff. You can be forgiven for a mistake. You can get in big trouble for a lie. All imo. Form 4 takes 7-24 days start to finish.

Re flow .22 here's the white paper if others calibers aren't shown I would ask them about it.

A valid concern! We don't have a very active Form 1 community on here so it doesn't come up much so you wouldn't know, but being that I am "the kid with the 'tism" and my area of special interest happens to be the Form 1 world. Not my builds, but the entire milieu of the regs, theories and history of Form 1 builds and at least in one little corner of the Form 1 world . . .

Figured it out! It was a Ram-Line Syn-Tech Exactor Pistol
I think I remember it being clear from tha magazine cover, or maybe I'm remembering the magazines, either way . . .

I remember those from back in the day. I thought about getting one on a few occasions as the price was cheap but never did. Wasn't really into .22's then. I was just starting my journey into centerfire pistols….

Ok, had to go to the gun room. Here is a pic of the 104 Citation with removeable weight. Same frame as the Olympic, just roll marked differently. Olympic is .22 short and has the 5.5" barrel chambered for short and an aluminum alloy slide. The Citation is .22LR and in this case has a 5.5" barrel chambered for LR and a steel slide. Playing in the High Standard world you would have several hundred different models available to choose from. Triggers are very nice!
