You can't buy those things because the ATF has declared that they are already suppressor and each require a stamp

Not a joke

Best you can do is storage containers and car parts

FYI, they sell storage containers and car parts ONLY, any questions about how it might work, or would it be suitable for ANYTHING other than storage or car parts will almost certainly get your email blocked because ATF

I think I read also that an individual had to submit photos of their equipment (lathe, mill, etc), proving they are the ones actually manufacturing the parts. I could be wrong, probably am, but I swear I remember reading that part.

You are not wrong, they also ask for photos of the material you will be using but because no one buys any material until after the stamp has been approved most folks just say "No material will be purchased until after stamp has been approved" and include a generic photo of the kind of bar stock and raw tubing they intend to purchase

FWIW, this is generally considered a perjury trap, the chances that anyone will pop by to make sure you built your Form 1 on the equipment that you said you had out of the material you said you were going to use is functionally null, however if for any reason the Fed's find a reason to come after you it *might* come up as a add on charge, so as always kids . .
Only do one crime at a time

Steel Engine freeze plugs can be formed, drilled and clipped.
There's a few other repurposed preformed options out there
I plan on doing a form 1 someday as I have access to a lathe and CNC lathe.
The CNC makes making baffles a lot easier.

I know someone building a 22 can using these separated by threaded rod and small nuts, it's not likely to be great, but expectations are that it will be good enough for the price and effort
