What to do with shot out Mosin Nagant rifle?

I'd shine it up refinish the stock and make it a wall hanger. If anything its good practice. If you were local I may take it off your hands.

Mine's perfectly shootable. I also use it as a wall hanger! It's in my bedroom, holding two hats, three caps, my outdoor earphones and my bird watching bino's!

Got it a few years ago, but it was hard to hit anything then. I was blaming me first. It binds up extraction on some ammo and I'm not paticularly interested in investing a lot of time and relative money on something that will never be worth much. I was given a Mauser in 7x57 that got badly bubba'd. After spending money on a set of headspace gauges and a firing pin, I realized I was throwing away money. I'm struggling not to do that again. Now I've got two rifles that are hardly worth the hassle to dispose of, unless somebody wants to trade the lot (with about 600 rds of 54R ammo) for something worth more to me. Yeah, the ammo is worth more, but it's only there to sweeten the pot.

Round receiver, re-arsenalled in '34. I remember looking at the date it was made, but I don't recall off the top of my head.

Being that it's a Mauser, I'd make the safety switch the on/off. That is pretty cool.
