Not so much fun are the guns you scratch your head wondering just what the hell were they thinking! I refuse to even shoot stuff I know is crap or questionable! Outside of that, i dont mind recoil, but i HATE poor ergonomics, and poor fit and finish! I also hate cheap designs that pinch on everything to make it sell!
I have never owned anything that didnt run correctly ( even requiring a break in) nor have I ever owned anything that didnt fit me, or feed correctly!

Agreed, Kel Tec is a lottery.

I got a "steal" on an RDB at a pawn shop; complete, total POS.

There are at least four corners in a gun safe; one of mine is for fun guns, Kel Tec included :)

I enjoy shooting many different firearms...

About the one only ones that I don't find fun are :
Modern "Inline Muzzleloaders"...
Now these rifles work for sure but what I dislike most about them , ain't so much the rifle itself ...
But the snotty , condescending , "My new tech gun " is far superior , attitude that some of the rifle's owners have towards traditional muzzleloaders and shooters
Now to be fair here....the same can be said of some traditional muzzleloading rifle users....
I just get tired hearing how much better their rifle is than one of mine...over and over and over...

Now the above is not meant to be disparaging of those rifles and those folks that like them and use them...
Simply because I am sure that not everyone who owns such a rifle acts and thinks that way.
If one is the owner of one...use it and enjoy it.

I said the above because of the ones that I have come into contact with who do.
Which happens a lot , Since the beginning of my displays...almost every showing will have someone , who just has to loudly proclaim all the "problems" with a tradition muzzleloader , has been solved with a modern inline rifle.

So again...its not so much the rifles themselves ...but the attitude of some ( Not All ) of the owners.

If I shoot a muzzleloader, I want it low tech and old style. If I want the latest tech, I will shoot something else, but for me there is a bliss in shooting old style with an old gun too. Although, I confess, those new fangled (circa 1850) percussion caps are nice.

Seeing your love of old muzzleloaders made me decide to actually go for it fwiw.

Those are new fangled percussion caps ifin they are from 1850...Since the percussion system came out in the 1820's....:)

As for influencing you for getting a muzzleloader...I am happy to have been of service...:D

Recoil that leaves a bruise or causes so much fatigue that my shoulder

Reminds me of 2010-ish, came home, disrobing with woman for the night, and she spies the massive bruise up and down my right shoulder. She says "What happen to you, mule kick you?" I said "No, just spent the afternoon patterning the new 10-gauge." :s0112:

you was busted....the 10 gauge spent the afternoon patterning YOU:D
10 gauge pattering....
Is that what they call the impression of the butt pad on yer shoulder after repeated firing... :D
Andy

True, though I'd like to think patterning is just being an ethical hunter. Or I'm just plain loco. Alright, who am I try to kid here ... :p

When you paid hard earned cash to a gunsmith to repair a firearm and month's later it's still not working right.

Truth. I even had one that I gave him the gun, the part I paid good money for, he then broke said part, called me to say that he did so, refused to replace/fix/make good said part, but if I could find a replacement, he'd fix it, but I'm out both the part and his time. To my credit, my response was remarkably subdued. (Even though I though, accurately, confirmed he's an idiot mouth-breather, and my review here reflected said reality.)
