IMO they should abolish them both

But at least they are not absorbing the ATF into the FBI.

Back in the '80s my BIL was a FBI agent and there was talk at the time of merging ATF with the FBI so I asked him what he thought , he said we don't mix dirty water with clean.... The dirty water needs to be thrown out.

They're both in bed with the cartels, so the merger makes sense to me. If we can give the criminals a one stop shop and save tax dollars by giving them guns and their own drugs back through a single agency, why not?

I'm sure he's spinning in his grave right now at what has happened the the agency. Back then there was absolute pride and integrity among the agents, now not so much. He worked organized crime in NY, Soviet surveillance and counter terrorism, a true patriot as well as all his crew.

All City /County Gubberment needs to be streamlined . I once looked up city of Portland Oregon City administrators what they are paid and i was shocked.
But seems when ever they want to cut spending they go after First responders NOT THE WASTE FULL OVER PAID CITY ADMINISTRATORS or the countless other over paid gubberment bureaucrats that if looked at fully could prolly be eliminated all together and no one would notice.

They do that on purpose; they know that is what hurts the populace the most, (that and schools) - so they are most likely to get what they want by holding those things hostage. It often works.
