Met someone who loved my sub-compact micro Beretta Nano 9mm more than I did.
A well-used fun reliable little shooter. But a bit TOO little for my uses today. Sold it to him.

What I eventually ended up to replace my EDC.

But oh hell.... It's a .45 acp.

Sorry my 9-mil co-fans, but this just felt great in my hands. At least as nice as the CZ 75 I've wanted for years.
Go Tanfoglio! (Or EAA, depending on which side of the gun you see. :) )

Someday I'll be back dear parabellum, I'm sure. :s0059:

I just moved from EDC my P226 9mm to a P220 .45, which is about 1in longer. I can't tell from the pictures but looks like you added at least 3in!

Both nice! I started out with a P226 for EDC. My very very very 1st new2me off-the-shelf gun. "Navy" version with some new grips.

Didn't keep it, as I found it bigger than I wanted. That was, oh, a decade ago I think. But now, back to full-size. Dunno really why, other than, "it fits". :s0019:

On of my better pics of the 226...

And, in spite of the 45auto "capacity nay-sayers" ;), I added two more rounds per mag. :s0015:

Have some ammo coming this weekend. Hopefully a break in the weather and I'll find someplace to try it out.

Not a 1911, therefore you are not a boomer!

Being it is a CZ (technically a Tango) it classes you more into Gen Z.

:p

Did they change the CZ75? That one you have there looks different somehow from what I remember. Nice pistol!

It's not a CZ @Sandaholic. I should have been clearer, sorry [edited since]. But the 75 is the one I had my hands on before, and wanted it. Close as I've stumbled across (in a deal I could live with) was this "Tanfoglio Witness P-Match". Considered a CZ75 "clone" by some, "an evolution of the 75" by others. Me, eh, time will tell I guess. :)

Nice upgrade. :s0145:

Having a hammer on a pistol felt like part of that upgrade right off the bat. :)

I haven't given it much thought, but for some reason, that feels safer than the striker-fire Nano. BUUUUT, no de-cocker, so have to really get my memory-muscle flexed. Been practicing a lot of handling it with snap-caps (as seen in the OP pic of it).

Anyway, nice to hear "nice!" and not "oh god, you didn't!" :)

Nothing wrong with a striker fired thing. I have a couple or two myself. My EDC is a Kahr in 45acp. But nothing beats shooting a full size 45. It's like stepping on the gas in a truck with a big V-8. You feel that surplus of power and you're ready to shoot satellites out of the sky. (Ok, come and bring it haters...)

Thanks for that. I was all messed up for a minute wondering what I missed? How did this happen and I never heard of it.

I should try one of their guns sometime. I get the promotional emails from CDNN Sports, and I am always looking hard at the Tangfolio offerings.

I don't use a walker yet so I don't carry a 1911. (Yes I'm joking, simmer down).

Kidding about not using a walker that is.....I do use a walker but can't carry a 1911 until I add the tennis balls on the walker feet and buy a fanny pack .

Ok yes I was kidding about all of it. :)

Ah phooey, does that mean I'm in a mid-life crisis? Swapped out the Nissan 4-banger a couple years ago for my little german muscle-car... (v8, 350, awd, 0-60 in 5 and change, zoom zoom)

Which is funny, 'cause I'm sure I drive slower than I ever used to. Ah man. It's happening isn't it. I'm getting old. :s0161:

Well, if we ever meet up at a range someday, and if I still have it, you're welcome to take it for a spin. :s0010:
