Started out sunny and nice earlier and I wanted to go shooting. I had to run a couple quick errands first and came home but it clouded over Really quickly and the wind came up.

Well, I grabbed my RIA, some ammo, and took a ride out to one shooting spot just a few minutes from home but it started sprinkling and still pretty windy.

Well, I didn't shoot but picked up about a 100 or so 9mm cases recently shot! Not like I need them but I cant leave brass just laying there! There was a LOT of .223 laying there as well and I might go back and get it in a day or so for anybody who might need it here in Central Oregon!

Its blacktail killing weather on this side of the hill. Instead of hunting I took my daughters to the gun show and lunch
It is great weather for that, but instead I drove to Myrtle Creek to pick up a hard to come by fender for my Model A. I thought about stopping by the gun show on the way home, but didn't. Probably should have, just for a break.

Sorry for you guys having to shoot in the elements. Winter is coming. I am totally spoiled belonging to a gun club with
a covered on three sides shooting benches, every position with radiant electric heat, and 3 ranges to choose from. Golf
cart for the 300 yard range. Indoor bathrooms with flush toilets. Everyone follows the range safety rules. I use to shoot
in the woods, when sometimes people will show up to shoot that have no idea how to handle a firearm.

What range is this?

Heck, nothing to be sorry about! I have shot in 'the elements' most of my life and consider it a blessing to be able to do so conveniently and with the freedom it offers. A 10 minute drive from home is nothing so if I choose not to NOT shoot for whatever reason (such as weather) well, no big deal.

Fortunately where I live I have a lot of choices and rarely have to deal with other people.

I am not certainly NOT impuning ranges and IF I were closer to one I would probably be a member and occasionally use it but the closest I am to is Redmond rod and gun club at about 40 miles. Next is COSSA at just shy of an hour. Either way thats a bit more than I care to drive to shoot so in the elements it will be!

I'm with you on that one.

Plus, I can sit in the dry pickup cab and wait for the wife to put up the targets and set up the dining canopy and portable benchrest. Of course, I will be waiting a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time. :s0140:

I put down a rug (my shooting rug) so that I never leave brass behind. Leaving brass on the ground is a real dick move, and the stuff is literally money I don't have to spend again.

So is it a "dick' move, or a "good" thing, for you? I'm confused.

There's always people coming along not to long after people have left their brass lay. I identify, as one of them! :D
I also bring a magnet, grabbers, a bag for garbage and a bucket.
