Want to get into belt feed fun

I looked for a better place to put this but I think this would be closest to what I want to know. I dont want a full auto but I would love to have a semi MG42 or a MG34 preferably a 42. I would prefer to build it instead of buying it. Is there anybody in the area that I could get some help with how to go about getting the right kit or kits and the best way to do this without getting into any trouble. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Ohh and I would prefer it in 308.

I have a Shrike and it would be fun if it ran reliably. It is fine in semi, but is not that reliable in full auto.

I have a Browning M37 (BMGM37) and it is a blast and very reliable. You might check out <broken link removed> Lost of good stuff there.
