What's the point of the article? Pointing out that the pistol registry is behind - despite the fact that the pistol registry doesn't track private sales and thus is probably filled with incorrect information. Just get rid of it.

The point of discussing the paperwork back up is that if the Libs and the stupid in WA State somehow pass I-594 there will be State paperwork for long guns as well as pistols. And it will cover all private sales and transaction (possibly even among Family). If they slow the process down, gun transactions stop! Don't think the Lefties wouldn't do that? Take a look back East regarding permits required in some places to even buy a gun.
