Imagine you had two football teams. Football Team A gets to make the rules and only Football Team B is expected to follow them. Why would Football Team A want to restrict the capabilities of Football Team B?

Why is it that it's ALWAYS the same political party that wants to "ban" everything under the sun?

Next thing you know they'll start considering a ban on gas cooking stoves or something…. Oh wait. :s0131:
YES! While I am loath to support either party I get so sad hearing the "well both parties do...............". One party is FAR and away the one who is forever trying to gain total control. The "both parties" do it line is used to support not bothering to vote against those who are the worst.

Says "hard body armor." Is this describing "plates"?
The

ban body armor in backpacks

is misleading. It says nothing about backpacks although it is implied by further language.

A. As used in this section, "hard body armor" means a personal protective body covering, regardless of whether the body covering is to be worn alone or is sold as a complement to another product or garment, or other item of personal protective equipment, including a shield, that is intended to provide protection against gunfire from a rifle or has been classified by the National Institute of Justice as meeting or exceeding the ballistic performance of Type III armor, as determined by using such standard as the National Institute of Justice has in effect at the time.

Okay that's a bit better.

B. Any person who wears hard body armor anywhere other than while on his own private property is guilty of a Class 1 misdemeanor.

So, yeah, it suxors to be VA .

There is however hope.
