I remember seeing that when it happened on the news. That kid is creepy.Mine is actually code for I like turtles.
I take it you don't like cigars?Come on, take a guess.
I can relate. 32 and am still trying to skateboard as often as possible while balancing a multitude of other priorities. Adulthood is weird sometimes.mine goes back to the days of AOL instant messanger or "AIM" i probably was 12 or 13 years old. i used to skateboard, snowboard and wakeboard a lot. "volcom" is a clothing brand that supports that...kind of like the nike or addidas of those sports. "snow" is for my love of snowbording(which i havent done in 6 years now... real life priorities) and 13 was my baseball football and basketball number when i was a kid.
idk im 30 now and the screen name just stuck with me.
i use it for youtube... atleast up until recently. i switched back to my real name.
You can change it, just contact an administrator and they will change it for you.I like motorcycles 4 ever! In all honesty, I wish I could change mine. It was chosen a long time ago.
Speaking of funky handles, whatever happened to burtgummer?
A lot of us have pretty self explanatory names/handles, while some are a little less decipherable. What does yours mean?
The "old" part of mine seems obvious to most, but is just because I feel a bit older mentally than I am.
The tengu part is more interesting.
Tengu - Wikipedia
Tengu (天狗, "heavenly dog") are a type of legendary creature found in Japanese folk religion and are also considered a type of Shinto god (kami) or yōkai(supernatural beings). Although they take their name from a dog-like Chinesedemon (Tiangou), the tengu were originally thought to take the forms of birds of prey, and they are traditionally depicted with both human and avian characteristics. The earliest tengu were pictured with beaks, but this feature has often been humanized as an unnaturally long nose, which today is widely considered the tengu's defining characteristic in the popular imagination.
Buddhism long held that the tengu were disruptive demons and harbingers of war. Their image gradually softened, however, into one of protective, if still dangerous, spirits of the mountains and forests. Tengu are associated with the ascetic practice of Shugendō, and they are usually depicted in the garb of its followers, the yamabushi.
