It was a replacement. I suspect the original was stolen.

Finally took it home today. Interesting gun. Looks like Benelli mag tube extensions do fit, but the mag tube flares inward at the end preventing shells to pass through, so will have to do some filing before I can but the extension on it. Overall it's pretty solidly built, no wobble in the hinge, tight lockup. The stock I'm probably going to replace. I can see what they were trying to accomplish with the design, but it's poorly executed. Anyhow, the ordeal is over, and now the fun (modding) begins.

I had a similar situation a couple years ago. Don't recall if it was fedex or UPS. Ordered a rifle from a seller in SC. He shipped it out, tracking showed movement to a larger metro area not too far from where he was, then no update for a week or week and a half with some vague message. I tracked down a number for the hub where it was last processed. Nice lady there looked into it, said it was put on a rail car to move across country to Spokane, then would be transported by truck. Some bad weather delayed the train's progress she said. I was getting pretty nervous, but it ultimately showed up. Just took nearly two weeks.

Hope yours shows up safely.

It all turned out OK, and I was happy once I opened the box and saw it for the first time. It shoots good.

In a previous century I lived in San Diego and had an FFL so UPS was constantly delivering firearms and ammo. Our UPS driver was a petit young lady named Crystal. Once she delivered a rifle that had the address transposed so it should have gone to an address about five blocks away. She brought it to me and said "it's shaped like a rifle and it has your name on it so I brought it to your house."
