I like the cut of you jib, OP. You go and shoot it for real, not taking multiple takes to get it perfect. Unlike some gun tubers who have magically perfect shooting, alter the frame rate to look faster and say they shot a course "cold" (after shooting several rounds to confirm their red dot was still on target).

My only 3" is a .44 Special, going to try it with that.

(And sorry to join in with the slight necrothreading, )

LOL thanks. I want everyone to see it just like I see it and then also hope to look back one day and say ok I did improve. Yeah one take is all I have the patience for LOL if I am honest lol.

I went for it today since nobody managed to torch the Yacolt Burn last night.

My target was 15" square wood
covered by a paper target 8.5 x 11
six long strides for distance
and
I did not have a timer so just shot as fast as I could, I don't feel like I ever went over six seconds.

3" Kimber DASA

First attempt Federal 158gr .357
I went at it stone cold with no practice.
from bulls eye the shots were
1.5"
2"
3.5"
5"
two shots missed the wood

Second attempt Aguila .357 158gr
1.5:
3"
3.5"
6"
two shots missed the wood

Third attempt .38 spl ammo inc
hard to tell because of the way the paper ripped
four shots at four inches and two missed the wood?
I shot these super fast since they were .38

Fourth attempt .38 spl
1.5"
2.75"
four missed wood or hit low left where the paper was all blown out.
Fired a little slower this time.

357 results were better than I expected, that gun is a wicked handful.
I still think I would carry it with 38+P

A super fun time, weird that I was more accurate with the 357 rounds.

Shot the same target with a SIX INCH 686 plus, taking my time
7 rounds single action and
7 rounds double action
8 rounds were under two inches
and
6 rounds were less than three inches from bulls eye.
