Is $1650 too much to pay for a Springfield TRP Operator with the 3/4 rail?

I paid $850 for a used one with about 500 rounds down the pipe in almost perfect condition. For a new one, I can't comment. Used ones are out there, just depends what you are looking for. YMMV....

I went there on Friday and they didn't have the trp operator. I only saw a trp. And a mc operator. Ended up ordering one online for $1390 and it's arriving on monday.

Yes. Great gun, lousy price. Also look at SIG 1911's and ignore Kimbers.

Are you using the factory guide rod? I just bought the dawson precision tool less guide rod and was wondering if I should use the stock mainspring.

I have left everything stock for now. Got about 500 rounds through it. I'm debating swapping out the mainspring housing for a non-ILS standard one. That Dawson guide rod is very nice, might spring for one of those as well a little later.
