I have some Orange tip .308 tracer bullets to load. What is a good powder that will reliably ignite these? 846 doesn't seem to do it . I haven't seen any of the military surplus powders with a T behind the number for a decade.
 
I'm not a reloader, but during my time in I seem to recall being taught that tracers get their ignition from velocity induced friction. Not something that I've researched though.
