So what happens if you need to fire the Tavor from your left side? Hot brass in the face?

This doesn't happen unless you are riding your face more forward than usual, even still. If you are trading rounds on a two way range, you wouldn't even notice the brass deflecting off your chin.

I suggested this to him in another thread, this is the best option in my opinion as well. He said it wasn't going to happen because of financial reasons.

It's always good to have a rifle in another caliber. 556 is not that great of a hunting caliber. But the 300 blackout is. Especially for the axis deer here in Maui and the pigs. I have the other rifle and 6.8 spc for the long shots. .223 is a good ? Maybe military caliber.
