Does anyone know what happened with Tim Copeland gun shop. I try contacting him about turning down a barrel and both numbers are disconnected and I see here that he is permanently closed, what happened?

Very sad reason 😭

Yes, Sadly Tim passed away in May.
However, you aren't far from another great resource.

Thank you for the mention!

Yes, unfortunately this past year has been... very rough on the Portland gunsmithing community. Tim Copeland and Gordy Vanderzanden have both left us. Kurt Mueller at H&K has retired and closed his shop. Allison & Carey have also closed their doors.

Yeah I live right down the street from H&K I've known Kurt for a long time and I forgot about the shop out in vernonia I used to live out there from 2000 to 2008 I'll have to contact them and see what they can do for me.

I dealt with Kurt several years ago. It was a lot of fun to hang out in his shop and talk guns, ammo and hunting. He was a very nice, knowledgeable guy.
The barrel Alex put on my Ruger was in Kurt's stash. I like that connection.
