I got a Geissele handguard and a BCM hand guard, and one of them needs to be cut down to fit this barrel.

I was just gonna get a Dremel and go to town on the Black one, I'm more worried about cutting up a $300 hand guard however so I don't mind taking that to a machine shop if anyone knows a guy, but if I'm paying I'm hoping they can smooth down the sides and make the edges nice, I'm just unskilled at it at the moment

Is selling one and using the proceeds to buy the length you want an option...?

It looks like you need a shorter handguard and another upper receiver, barrel, BCG, etc.

Just throw the whole F-N thing in the trash at this point, lol no I can make do with a dremel or a band saw, I might just buy one at Lowe's and return it.
I thought you had Geissele and BCM, not FN. :s0140:

My point is that you really just need to build another upper.

If you are in SW WA, I'd be willing to do it for you. I've got a 3 axis machine that'll cut it cleanly and I can debur it after.

This guy would be the only one I trust to cut $$$ rails. I haven't had him cut anything personally but at one time I was contemplating a FSB cutout for my Radian rail. His IG pictures are pretty awesome if you ever get the chance to check them out.

Concerning the black hand guard, the staggered slots are going to make it tough to wind up with something that doesn't look "bubba'ed" up.

Very true.

Looks like you can go with a staggered look like legos or if you are really lucky you might be able to get away with an angled straight line with the short side on the bottom and long side on top but it will be very very close based on the pic.
