I currently have a Marlin 1894 C in 357 magnum.I also have a Rossi R92 in 357 magnum with a threaded barrel.I much prefer the marlin in every way except the fact that it doesn't have a threaded barrel. I've customized subsonic 357 loads for the R92. I've been debating weather I should sell my marlin and just buy another R92, or if I should find a gunsmith to thread the marlin so I can keep a classy lever gun. Also I have a 30 cal suppressor rated up to 300winmag that I was thinking of having bored our to .35 cal to use specifically with the 357 instead of my .45 can that I currently am. I'm in Kelso washington so if you have a opinion, suggestion, a local (ish) gun Smith to recommend or just a accusation of Heresy please let me know!

Preserve and/or sell the Marlin and buy a modern mall-ninja lever action already threaded. There are now multiples to choose from.

But in the grand scheme, it's your gun. You be you and I'll be me.

I would not thread the Marlin. The Rossi? Nobody much cares about that, but the Marlin?...it's yours to do with what you want....even if it's wrong. If you want to throw away some $$, I have a rare Phoenix Arms in .25 ACP that I'd trade for the Marlin and throw in a box of shells to boot.

Send me a PM.
