No law...ban...restriction ...requirement ...etc...
Will stop someone who has the willingness to commit murder or any other crime.

What needs to be addressed...is not firearms....or firearm owners....
It is the "why" behind the idea of why murder is the solution to someone's problem.

As for the family....we now have an 11 year old girl without one.
Not because of firearms...but because her 15 year old brother made a choice.
He did this...it is not the fault of firearms...or anyone else.

As for the murderer....should circumstances be taken into consideration ...yes of course.
However...his actions need also to be considered....things like trying to blame his 13 year old brother and lying to the 911 operator....
Staging a crime scene...etc....

Again...his actions...not mime...not yours...nor anyone else's.
A family has been murdered...by someone who made a choice.

And yes I understand that at times...like when someone is angry or under stress , depressed...etc...
Their mind and thinking does not and cannot fully comprehend what is going on or fully work to the best of its ability.
I work with students and parents who are ''escalated" ...all the damn time...I am well aware of this.

Part of my job is to teach students is to recognize when they are becoming escalated as well as tools / methods to come back to a regulated state and solve their problem appropriately .
It is also part of my job to make sure consequences follow actions .

Sorry for the digression.....and long post.

This has been of course made a political thing here. Took them about an hour to do so. Bottom line it was one really sick little POS. Not only killed the family but then made up a story to blame one of the ones he killed. That he was capable of doing this tells me he should NEVER be released. Some are of course trying to make it so they can only keep him till he turns 25. Even if tried as an adult and he gets out when he is 40 there is no way this POS will not be in the news again soon after.

I don't necessarily agree. There are people who are quite willing to commit murder, but don't because they do not want to get caught and suffer the consequences. Laws are a deterrent to crime for law abiding people - most of whom agree with the laws, some of whom have the motivation to break the laws but are not willing, for whatever reasons, to suffer the consequences. There is a difference.

I blame the recent popularity of the Menendez case.

Thinking of a way to get away with something like this is ( morally) worse than the act itself.

Liked...'cause an opposing view is always good to read / hear.
Still stand by my statement....and disagree with yours....however...thank you for posting your viewpoint.
