The new guy from oregon

Hello my name is Cody and i currently live in Salem Oregon. i currently own a .22 rifle named ruger lol. Growin up i wasnt really into guns but after seeing the collection a few of my buddies proudly own im now looking to expand my collection. I have fired many many guns ranging from the ak-47 to the ole benjamin pump action bb gun and the one that continues to catch my attention is a .40 caliber. i recently started shoppin for one and was referred to this site for advice.

any suggestions?

i have shot the glock many times and it is comfortable. my budget is around 400.00. i would prefer nib but i would take a "gently and well cared for" used.
