Republican doesn't mean anything when the leader of the party is Paul Ryan/McCain/Romney type. They have walked in step with Obama and the open border globalist. I hope a new party emerges if Trump doesn't win, the republican leadership has driven me to an independent.

I do not want the US to resemble Europe. Do you? Because that is the left's wet dream, and there are a bunch of turn coat republicans helping them.

Trumps not going to win and like most of the other people who voted for him you'll be an independent. Please stop voting in Republican primaries.

I am hoping for a bunch more emails to be dumped to make her look even more crooked.
I think that's the only way Trump will have a chance of beating the beast.

In which case the best possible outcome is still 4 more years of status-quo lol. In short, we're boned.
Trump is not and has never been a Republican. He is a populist who figured out that running as a Republican was the most expedient route to the Presidency. He got a lot of people who never vote in any election or for either party to vote for him in the Primary and stole the nomination from actual Republicans. ANYONE , who actually was a Republican out of that crowd in the primaries could have defeated Clinton in a general election except Donald Trump. He is a vile man without substance and is not fit to be the President of the United States. I am a lifelong Republican and I wouldn't vote for him because I don't believe he would be a good President and like a lot of people I doubt his sanity.

I am resigned to the fact that Clinton will be elected. She will name a Supreme Court justice. At least one anyway unless the Senate decides to confirm Obamas recent nominee. I don't know if thats a good thing or not. I dont think it will be the end of the world as Supreme Court justices tend to stick with precedent and often have minds of their own. Some like Warren and Roberts ended up being nothing like what the President who names them to the court though they were getting. Some, like Scalia end up being surprisingly good as justices.

Johnson 2016.

What is scary is the next POTUS will likely appoint 3 Supreme Court Justices over the next eight years. They will rule for decades to come. We are in deep sh*t. And I am not only talking about gun rights and the 2nd Amendment. I am talking about the national deficit. The liberal spending is going to bankrupt America. That is where the next revolution will come from when China cuts off the loans and there is no more money for the social programs. Those receiving them will revolt. This is why the liberals want to disarm the working class. They know that sh*t is going to hit the fan. I am old and may not see it, but my son will have to live with it.

The Johnson campaign just tossed a rattlesnake. Liz Mair, former Republican Online Communication Director and now with Republicans for Johnson, tells Anderson Cooper what she thinks of the candidate in question.

also the Johnson campaign has registered www.loudmouthdick.com which will direct you to Trump's website.

I'm being reminded of the death of the Whig party which split into the Know Nothings and the liberal Republican party.

She's right.

IMHO the dissolution of the Republican party began with Goldwater . The conservative and liberal sides of the party have been coexisting for quite some time ( even if the liberal wing doesnt call itself that ) since the mid 60's and especially the Reagan administration . The teapartiers have decided they owned the party for 7-8 years but didnt get enough support and are cracking the party up. Then we get an influx of independents with Trump who don't give a damn about any traditional Republican platforms.
Yep. Middle of the beginning of the end.

Let's see who is the least damaged candidate come November 7th, most like that's all that really matters.

Americans have a collective attention span of about 15 seconds and 144 characters...

They'll need to be told the day before the election as to who they should vote for...

Politics in America is worse than most 3rd World Countries....

I listen to AM radio quite a bit and I think it was in January or February time frame there is a Sunday investment show that used to come on around 1 o-clockish. I was eating lunch in my van and they were talking about ways how the economy could pick up.

I was applaud at first about the conversation then the more I listened to them it started to make sense in a sick way at least in my mind. What they said was what we need is a good old fashioned world war and here are some of the reasons why.

1. In WW2 about 60 millions folks or 3% of the population at the time was wiped out and a large percent of those were working age men. During the war the folks that were not fighting mainly woman where working making planes, tanks and other war products stimulating the economies around the factories while farmers produced food for the war effort stimulating their finances. After the war with the rebuilding of destroyed countries and cities along with the new technologies created from the war combined with 3% fewer folks in the work force unemployment was at an all time low. The booming 50s.

2. For the most part except for Japan and Germany most countries debt was wiped clean for all intents an purpose allowing them to start over with a clean slate making it easier to restructure and rebuild.

3. They also talked about how certain taxes where implemented and trade agreements where established to stimulate various economies as well.

So now let's look at what is going on around the world Belize, Jamaica, Argentina, Belarus, Greece, Egypt, Pakistan and Ukraine are all on the brink of bankruptcy and civil unrest.

Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Libya and most of Africa are war torn or have major famine and civil unrest.

The US is 19 trillion in debt and we act like its nothing and continue to spend. The true unemployment in America is around 9.8% not the 4.9% they keep claiming because they only count those in the system and not those actually unemployed and the economy only grew by 1.2% the lowest from what I understand sense the depression.

So do we need a good old fashion world war to stimulate the economy by thinning the work force, creating more jobs to support the war effort and cleansing our debt?

Nice thread hijack :D

I was thinking sort of the same thing though. Americans across the board seem to have a lot of pent up anger and frustration these days. I can't believe I'm actually saying this, but a good ol' fashioned war might help alleviate a lot of societal pressures.
Which is why I say to Kim Jong Un.... please, just give us a reason...

/end hijack

My intention at the time was not to hijack the thread and it is still not.

At one time it did not seem that we needed to worry about who chose a Supreme Court justice because congress vetted them and the folks in play where there to do right thing for the country so I thought.

But not anymore, many of us are afraid if we get the wrong ones in there we will lose basic fundamental rights because they believe the Constitution is a living document and can be changed at will without following the amendment process.
They want to look at other countries laws to interpret ours and not the constitution.

The American people are politically all over the map more than I have ever seen and a good portion wants to be socialist. They want to give up their freedoms to the government.

Then after reading the threads posted up to that point those thoughts popped into my mind so I am sorry I should have done a new thread but at the time it was on my mind.

Edit added: They want to look at other countries laws to interpret ours and not the constitution.

You guys all think we bear arms because of 9 old men and women wearing black dresses. What a silly notion. The courts, the presidency, congress, the constitution have nothing to do with it. We are armed and continue being armed because of will, and nothing else.

let us know how that works out for you when the 9 old people in black ban your guns.
The rest of us are armed only because the majority allow it....

So, you are admitting you will turn yours in when the court decides to call a ban "constitutional"? Good to know...

no, my point was the we all are part of a society. If the people vote to turn your guns in you can certainly revolt but that doesnt mean you will win any war, and win or lose in the end your right back to what the winning majority society has to say about your guns... not you individually.

the idea that you can do whatever you will, is not true in any society, even a pro gun society...

I believe this has all my feelings on this election as well as our gun rights in general.

Let's not forget the TPP wildcard. The obamanation and all the corrupt idiots in DC, have sold our sovereignty down the river. It may not matter who is elected, foreigner's could end up voting to take our rights. Trade agreement my arse,,,

No, I don't agree. We actually all swim in a sea of anarchy, without even realizing it. Most of our interactions with other humans are voluntary. We can often do whatever we like, particularly if we harm no one else in doing so, regardless what the law says.

As Proudhon put it, "Liberty, not the daughter but the mother of order."
