what ever happened to tethered scope caps? My older rifles have tethered caps(objective to objective) and are tethered to the barrel/stock near the front objective? these new scopes have the flip style that I am always losing or interfere with my ball cap rim. Do you think these things sticking out like they do might break easily? On my newest Leupold the caps are threaded, well on the rear one, the threads are not "timed", so when I get it tight the darn thing tight it flips up at an angle or it will be lose. besides I highly doubt these flippers would keep the elements out like a "good" set of tight fitting tethered caps!
